Born April 25, 1879, Eddie Poferl came to the United States in 1887. Eddie worked at many jobs, including being a tattoo artist in a Seattle waterfront tattoo place and was known as Professor Eddie. The book contains his business cards, catalogs, early tattoo machines, and dozen of flash sheets, some of the earliest known flash in existence.
